When we first bought our home, it had these two very tall palm trees in a planter right up against our house. These trees were huge, and continually dropped berries… lots of berries. Even though Lan swept them up every day there were always tons on our driveway, and of course that meant I was always slipping on them. We hated these trees. One day Lan stayed home from work sick, and when I got home at the end of the day, this is what I saw…
He finally had enough and hired someone to cut them down. Since they were going to charge a small fortune to take stumps away, we opted to keep them and find uses for as many as we could. Now around your house you will see stump stairs, end tables, benches,… and my personal favorite, stump planters.
